Phyllostachys vivax 'aureocaulis' is a vigorous running timber bamboo that can grow about 60' tall and produce canes that are around 4" in diameter. It has golden colored canes with randon green stripes which produces a nice effect. It grows quite well in the Sacramento Valley and is a great bamboo for this location.
